Video: Me on the trapeze!
At the Streb Lab for Action Mechanics… this was one of the coolest feelings ever. Highly recommended!

I’m super excited to announce that my new segment on GRITtv with Laura Flanders has launched! I’ll be doing regular segments featuring all things tech: politics (like episode 1, here), life hacks, sanity checks, gadget giddiness, you name it. Have suggestions or hot tips? Send them to blog AT deannazandt.com!
Lots of things have been happening and hence the absence of actual updates here, haha. Sorry about that. Where to begin?
That’s pretty much it. Holidays are a-comin’ and I’ll be up in Bingotown for a while, hanging out with the fam, and then back in NYC for New Year’s. Hope all’s well in the land of not-my-apartment!
Remember the funniest press release of all time? The final performance was Thursday night, and I’ve got a bunch of pictures and videos from it… watch as John and Dogbowl discuss Nancy Pelosi, perform some hits, talk about the other musician John Hall (who just got elected to Congress), as well as read from his forthcoming book, “Daily Negations.” (Watch the videos here, after the jump.)
On Sunday, September 24th, artist Moby’s new music video, “New York, New York” featuring vocals by Debbie Harry, will premiere at Faceboyz Open Mike, one of the longest-running open mikes in the East Village.
Things I did yesterday:

I’m so very excited and pleased to announce that the first episode of Toxic Pop TV has been launched! It’s a weekly TV straight outta the heart of the downtown NYC artsy-fartsy scene, and I’m participating as a sometimes-segment host and working on the techie backend for the site.
Without further adieu, episode 1!
Oh my, my new favorite band ROCKS.
Artsy pictures here. Blurry video here.
Don’t miss their next show, the official debut: Sat., May 20 @ 8pm, Bowery Poetry Club.
