Web design and development. Navigating the emerging social components of the web takes a delicate hand and a keen eye. I walk my clients from A to Z in the process, taking them on the journey with a firm knowledge base to support our work together. Go here for some sites that I’ve worked on, and the services I’ve provided for them.
Technology consulting. Sometimes my clients don’t need me to overhaul their entire web worlds for them– they just need a helping hand with concepts, or a presentation on the latest developments in social media. I love instructing, and have vast experience teaching people broad and/or difficult concepts with an approachable sense. I’ve presented at the Bioneers, the Media Consortium, the Women Action Media conference, and more. I enjoy working with an organization’s existing tech staff, so that they can be engaged in way where they are understood and effective. My main focus right now is on the emergence of “web 2.0,” and all that it involves. Here’s a presentation I gave in Fall 2006 about it.
Graphic design. My design background overall is rooted in a strong belief in branding, and I work with my clients to stay true to their essence. Sometimes that means revisiting the whole concept, and sometimes it means updating what works. In every case, I take extra time to make sure my work is visually appealing for clients and the audiences they serve. Here’s some of the graphic design work I’ve done.
More coming soon! Doing my own site is hard. And time-consuming. ~sigh~
